Approximately 5 miles or 20 minutes by boat from Punta Gorda Town, the expansive Moho River empties into the majestic Caribbean Sea. At this junction is situated a virtual tropical paradise consisting of some six acres, 300 meters of which are sea frontage coupled with about 12 acres of unspoilt pristine mangrove. The property is currently accessible only by boat. The eastern portion of the property offers a clear and unobstructed view of the ocean. On a clear day one can see the silhouette of the Cayes and, at night, actually observe the glare of the light from the port towns in neighboring Guatemala. There are even a few times when one may be lucky enough to glimpse a few dolphins frolicking a few hundred meters from the shoreline. The beach area comprises white, soft sand and in some parts, tiny white pebbles. Between the beach area and the mangrove, there are about four acres of relatively high and fertile land. Here in this tropical paradise is an abundance of fruit-bearing trees including blackberry, cacao, coconut, cocoplum, almonds, mango, sea grapes, and sour sop. This area is also replete with wildlife such as armadillo, deer, gibnut, howler monkey, jack rabbit, and peccary. Birds include but are not limited to curassow, duck, owl, parrot, pelican, sea gull, and toucan. The mangrove portion of the property is great for eco-tourism and has a variety of fish and other aquatic and marine life, for instance, black-snapper, jew fish, snook, shrimp, tarpon, and turtle. This property, which consists of a total of 17.74 acres, would make a great tourist resort for beach lovers or scuba divers. It would also be ideal for a hunting lodge or a fishing lodge. Additionally, the Moho River makes for excellent scenic tours of the rainforest. There is a wooden shack with thatched roofing, measuring 24 feet by 12 feet with a 7 feet wide veranda, and is elevated on wooden posts, for the caretaker. This strategically located and unique property has intrinsic natural beauty and great investment potential.
