An Amazing Jungle Resort, nature-based, in the heart of the Belizean Jungle. Guests can canoe, kayak or tube the Majestic Macal River, climb atop ancient Mayan Ruins, wade through the Mayan underworlds, or hike the onsite jungle trails! These hands-on experiences, paired with mouthwatering cuisine, will lead to an unforgettable Belize experience. What makes this particular resort unique is its location on the Macal River and its views of the river. Starting at one end of the property is the “Big Eddie,” a 40 to 50-foot deep area of water that was very important to the loggers back in the 1800s. The Eddie appears on maps and is surrounded by a 200-foot cliff. Further upriver, the Macal straightens out for nearly ¾ of a mile. The Dining Room sits on a point that overlooks the straight portion of the river. That view from the Dining Room is their signature photo! There are also numerous accesses to the river, all made very easy to navigate with easy switchbacks and paved walkways with steps and railings.

The entire resort is pretty much self-sufficient. It generates its own electricity and water and has its own eco-friendly vegetable garden that supplies most of the vegetables for the kitchen. A neighbouring farm provides the resort with pork products, lamb, and goats both for milking, cheese making, and meat. The kitchen also makes fresh breads daily, ice cream, and many other items. Not to be outdone, they also make their own soaps and scrubs for guest rooms.

The property also features a fully licensed tour operator serving the resort guests only, along with necessary tour equipment.
