#Banks of the Old Belize River

Resting on seven and a half acres of reclaimed jungle, the park-like surroundings of the main building and its five cabanas provide an eco-friendly location for guests to relax on their screened verandahs and enjoy the flora and fauna of Belize from their air-conditioned rooms.
The natural landscaping includes a variety of local hardwoods and fruit-bearing trees. Trails have been laid out leading to a Bayou and the Savannahs at the rear of the property. From the property and surrounding trails, many species of birds can be seen. In the mornings and evenings, Howler Monkeys pass through the surrounding trees looking for food. During the dry season, nocturnal animals appear at varying times, including families of tapir, hedgehogs, tree sloths, and many other species of interest.
Fishing from the docks during the day and night can lead to a catch of large edible catfish and the occasional black snapper. The resort offers seclusion, security, and an atmosphere where clients can unwind and communicate with nature at their own pace.
