ACTIVE  Quashie Trap Lagoon, Gales Point Manatee

Almost 700 acres with approximately 1 mile of Caribbean Sea Front and about 2 miles of lagoon front, only 12 nautical miles or 35 miles south of Belize City, the hub of the Belize District. The nearly two-mile length of the property along the coast comprises beautiful, white sandy beach, which rises from sea level to an average of 5 feet and continues fairly leveled inwards before leveling out to where the land meets the Quashie Trap Lagoon and Quashie Trap Creek. The property is in its natural state, comprising low but dense wetland bush with patches of open grasslands and mangrove along the lagoon and creek. Accessibility to the property is principally by water, providing an enjoyable trip. The splendor of the river trip is encapsulated by the meandering of connecting waterways and multiple lagoon wonders, through Halouver Creek onto the Burdon Canal, through Jones Lagoon and Boom Creek onto Sibun River, winding through Northern Lagoon, through Main Creek onto Southern Lagoon, through Manatee River onto the Caribbean Sea, and continuing southwards along the coast. The constant interplay among the water bodies underpins this splendor: the lagoon is connected to the Manatee River which empties into the sea. The property is less than 2 miles northeast of the small fishing community of Gales Point Manatee, 6 miles north of the community of Mullins River, and about 16 miles northwest of Dangriga Town. Importantly, the Coastal Road is only about 2.5 miles from the property.
